Pre-Sales Consultant

Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to deliver technical consultancy and pre-sales activities, and transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers, partners and team members. The successful candidate will have an industrial or system engineering background with experience within an ERP or MES technical sales position and have exceptional presentation skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION
    • Work collaboratively with the Channel Sales Team and Distribution Channel, supporting and prioritising effort, to maximise productivity, sales and profit.
    • Work closely with the Chief Product Officer and Product Development Team to define, document and present customer and functional requirements to drive product development, reduce time to market and increase sales.
      • Work closely with the CEO to present industry and competitive research to help the company to promote, price, position and advance their products to increase sales, attending Product Steering Committees as required.
        • Work closely with the CEO and Channel Sales and Marketing Teams to develop sales tools and educational materials to enable our franchises and partners to build and maintain healthy pipeline levels aligned to our business goals and revenue targets.
    • Work closely with the CEO and Business Development Team to expand our distribution network, support franchise / partner onboarding and to open and exploit new marketplaces.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactive and constant learning of LYNQ solutions.
  • Review and analyse trends about competitors’ products and prepare battlecards
  • Research industry requirements and develop industry demo datasets and configurations
  • Document and present business and functional requirements to support product development
  • Build, maintain and update sales demonstration and test-development environments
  • Support Channel Sales Team in responding to complex requests for information
  • Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the buyers firm.
  • Scope technical solutions to address the buyers requirements and assess buyers’ met and unmet needs
  • Present solutions alongside members of the Channel Sales Team and Distribution Channel that demonstrate and optimise value for both the buyer and LYNQ.
  • Prepare the project for implementation and coordinate with the Services Team to align solution design with buyer’s requirements.
  • Prepare and present LYNQ product presentations and demonstrations via online webinars and conferences.
  • Act as a subject matter expert through publications, public appearances, social media activities
  • Provide coaching and professional development to team members and partners in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Degree or equivalent in manufacturing, engineering, technology or in a related field.
  • 5+ years previous experience working within a technical pre sales position.
  • Must be a subject matter expert with expertise in ERP and MES software and solutions
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels (IT Managers to C-level decision makers)
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Willing/able to travel internationally for marketplace events and to visit channel partners as and when needed (approx. 10%)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Advanced ability to drive creativity and innovation.
